Shannon Shiell is the director of the Academia de Salsa, which she founded some 15 years ago. Her vocation and passion for Salsa originally started as a hobby while she completed her Latin American studies at Glasgow University.Nowadays, Shannon is a full time promoter of Salsa and the Scottish Salsa scene, organising Salsa nights in popular Glasgow venues such as BARCA, Sports Cafe, Art Bar and her own dance studios in the west end and city centre.
In the episode of Make Me Happier on STV aired Tuesday 8th December at 7.30pm which focuses on low self-esteem, insomnia and anger, Shannon will show Jason how dancing can improve his health, social skills and give his confidence a boost.
